  • 1.  Messageing Gateway High-Availability

    Greetings,

     

    A new Exchange Server deployment, replacing the option of Edge Role Server, by Symantec Gateway "BrightMail", how to achieve High-Availability with this appliance? as long as one appliance will be deployed?

    in case of Edge Servers, two Edge Servers will be placed with DNS MX Record configured at ISP with Round Robin (RR) pointing to Edge Servers IP Address.

    So, how can I Acieve such High-Availability with Symantec Appliance?

    Essentially, one option is to use round robbin (as you are now) with multiple SMG scanners.
