and I see in the Document ID: 316982 that the following information cannot be true: (http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/316982.htm)Windows 2003 R2 or later (64-bit) with Exchange Server 2007 - Install Microsoft Services for NFS on any NetBackup clients that perform granular operations and on the Windows media server(s).-  Install the Microsoft Exchange Server MAPI Client and Collaboration Data Objects package, version 6.05.7888 or higher on the Exchange Server.

Hello

I can't install this service I receive always the error: Microsoft Windows Service for UNIX cannot be installed on Windows running on a 64-bit computer

Windows Services for UNIX is not supported on 64-bit operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 Edition. (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/920751/en-us)

you are sure that you have installed that on a windows 2003 R2 x64,

Oezkan,

when you say you can't install NFS Service, the steps below don't work for you?  Could you elaborate more on what doesn't install?

Thanks,

Installing Microsoft Services for NFS on Windows Server 2003
Microsoft Services for NFS need to be installed on Windows Server 2003. This option is available on the Windows Server installation CD.
1.   Install Microsoft Services for NFS from the Windows Server installation CD.
   * Start the Windows Components Wizard.
   * Click Other Network File and Print Services and then click Details.
   * Click Services for NFS and then Details.
   * Select the NFS-related services you want. Minimally, you must select Client for NFS and Server for NFS.
   * Follow the wizard prompts to complete the installation.
2.   After the installation is complete, ensure that Client for NFS is running.
3.   When the installation is complete, open the Services control panel and ensure that Server for NFS is stopped and disabled.
4.   After the installation is complete, only on the media server, ensure that the portmap service is running. Issue the following from the command prompt:

net start portmap

The message should be either "successfully started" or "already running".  Note that when the Server for NFS service is disabled the portmap will not automatically be restarted when the server is rebooted.     Perform this step (Step 4) after every reboot.

5. Add the path of the mount command to the PATH system variable.
Repeat this step for each client.
