    Hello,

For the sake of patching SQL Compact 3.5, can anyone assist with building a filter to find workstation with this app installed?  SQLCE is an embedded database and is not present in Add & Remove packages and the only tag I can find to identify is in the registry at HKLM>Software>Microsoft>Microsoft SQL Compact Edition>3.5

Its also not present in Patch Remediation for whatever reason.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

If you connect a machine that is running SQL Compact to Windows Update, does WU list any patches for SQL Compact?  If it doesnt, then that will most likely explain why PMS doesnt list any.

If you want to create a filter containing all machines running SQL Compact, simply create a custom inventory that targets that registry location, and then create a raw sql filter that targets the custom data class that gets populated by the custom inventory scan.

    Hi Powershell_Guru,

Regarding Patch Management Solution, Microsoft SQL Compact is not in the list of products that are supported by Patch Management now..

    Thanks,
