  • 1.  Migrate to SMG 10.x from Mail Marshal gateway

    Hello all,

    I have to migrate rules and policies applied to ldap groups from active directory from Mail Marshal mail gateway to Symantec Messaging Gateway 10.5

    Is there any guide or any other help fo this, because both systems are different in the order of applying rules to users .

    Has anyone tried to do this ?

    Any suggestion acceptable

    Hi Christaras,

    I actually had to do the same thing a couple years back. In my case, I was migrating to version 9.x but I couldn't find any such tool. I contacted Symantec Support and that yielded nothing so I had to create all the rules from scratch. It was really time consuming because there was no easy way to export the Mail Marshal rules so the customer gave me a text file with all the rules and I sat down and did them one by one.
