  • 1.  Migrating from DS 6.5 to 6.9

    I have 2 Altiris servers, 1 running DS 6.5 and the other DS 6.9. When I uninstall AClient 6.5 then install AClient 6.9 and point to the server with the newer version I get this error message for all clients:

    Timeout, no user response to prompt, operation aborted

    If I then uninstall AClient 6.9 and reinstall it the DS console does not request any user interaction.

    Any ideas how I can stop the user prompting?

    I have tried things like rebooting clients and making sure a license is applied.

    The AClient that is getting the message you are reporting has a setting for that. You can either change the AClient at the desk using the admin properties, or you can change it at the console by rightclicking on the client in the console, Change Agent Settings, Production Agent. It will be on the "Access" tab. Uncheck "Copy file and run command" in the "Prompt the user before performing actions" area.
