hello, 

i've a very similar problem, as stated here (but still a little bit different and it look like no one found a soulution here)

i've update sepm today to 12.1.4013.4013 and i am trying to test the sep client update now... i've added the package to the client update tab...

if i check the client properties now, i can see:

"Der Client hat entschieden, das Upgrade-Paket abzulehnen"

and

"Client has ignored upgrade package, version 12.1.4013.4013."

but i guess the reason could be, that on this particular client an english sep client is installed and i try to update with a german one...

after updating via pushDeploymentWizard the client gets updated....

but i've now another issue, that german sep clients also not getting updated!!

i cann see the client has accepted the package but on the client nothing happens!

any ideas what the problem could be?!

Can you post SEP.inst log.

You can find %TEMP%

Troubleshooting client installation failures

in temp folder of the currently logged in user is just an old sep_inst.log file back from last installation, no new entrys in there!!

but i guess the sep_inst.log will not be created inside the currently logged in user?! where should i find this on auto client package distribution??

or even, i don't think the log get's created because the setup didn't started.... ??

Since the client ignored it, you won't get a SEP_INSt.log file

What version are you upgrading from?

Also, can you try to update one client manually to see what the result is?

It wont update a different langauage SEP , AFAIK

for the german OS, make sure you have disabled tamper protection

i had this guess that the automatic update doesn't do its job on different versions!!!

but the main issue is that the update won't work on same version too!!

a german sep client says the client is accepted but no update happens!

i try to update from: 12.1.3001.165 or 12.1.1101.401

no matter non of my test clients are updating!

if i try to update manually everything works but i don't want to try for every 240 clients!  the auto update must work, whenn version and os architecture (x86/x64) is the same!

Pushing with ClientDeploymentWizard (ClientRemote.exe) does its job as expected!

Did you restart sep client ?

yes... restart sep client... didn't change anything

have also tried a clean install of an old version 12.1.3 and put it in the group...

sepm says client accepted the package but nothing happend after that...

Did you try Auto upgrade feature ?

So it went from being ignored to being accepted per the SEPM?

If it was accepted, the install should've kicked off, in which case it would generate a SEP_INST.log file with a current timestamp in %temp% directory. Did that happen?
