  • 1.  Migration from Symantec Corporate 10.x to Endpoint 12 fails

    I am trying to migrate from Symantec Antivirus 10.x to Symantec™ Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition 12.0 on our server.  Enpoint installs without issue and when I go to the migration wizard it is able to successfully see the current server however when it tries to migrate it give an error that it failed to connect or import data from server "xxxx".  I have tried all the recommendations from the migration documentation but can't seem to get around this.

    I am wondering if it is possible to simply export the current policy settings from the current Antivirus server an then import that possible into Endpoint?

    Any thoughts/comments are appreciated.

    Did you follow the Steps to prepare computers to install Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition 12?

    Replacing SAV Corporate Edition with SEP (this is for SEP 11, but should apply to SEP12 as well)
