  • 1.  Migration Wizard - 'No Products Found'

    Hello All,

    I am trying to migrate data from my NS6 server to SMP 7.1.  I have installed the migration wizard on 7.1 and on NS6, but when it is run, it gives the infamous No Products Found error.  I have checked the InstallPath registry key, it is correct.  Any other ideas?  I have not been able to find much else.

    Are you running this on NS6 or NS 7.1 when you receive the error?  Is any additional detail found in the logs?

    I get the error when I run this on the NS6 box.

    Hi mgarza,

    This can be caused by a missing or incorrect InstallPath value string under the Notification Server registry key.

    Could you please post here the configured InstallPath value at your Notification Server 6.x?

    Additionaly, witch specific version (service pack and release) of NS 6.x are you using?

    The Migration Wizard requires NS6 R12 or NS6 R13.  It is not compatible with prior versions.

    Here are some pics showing version and the Install path.

    Does anyone know if there are any special user permissions needed for this to run correctly?  Our environment is pretty locked down.  I am at the point of totally rebuilding this server (NS6) in an OU that doesn't get any of our security policies to see if that is the issue..

    Hi mgarza,

    To run the migration wizard, you must be a member of the local administrators group.

    Could you please try run the migration wizard logged with App. Identity account?

    If you run it as a local administrator, are you successful?
