  • 1.  Mimic Norton Save & Restore for Win2K Server

    I'm looking for a solution that will basically give the same functionality that Norton Save & Restore does but works with Win2K Server. For example I'd like to  be able to:
     
    - Backup a live system to a disk image on a networked volume
    - Create incremental updates on a predefined schedule
    - Have the software delete outdated images/restore points automatically
    - Allow restore to a blank or existing drive, in the event that a system won't boot, by booting off a CD into a system recovery environment
     
    In other words everything that Save & Restore does. Is Ghost Solution Suite capable of fulfilling theses needs? Or, is Backup Exec the only option?

    GSS isn't able to backup a live system partition. It is only able to back up system partitions whilst they are offline. I believe that if you want to be able to backup a live system then Backup Exec is designed for that and is much more aligned with the features of Norton Save and Restore.
