Mismatch in Counts of SEP clients on Replication partner site
Created: 14 Mar 2013 | 15 comments
Hi All,
Good Day..
We are using Sep 12.1 RU1 MP1 on a windows Architecture, we having a replication partner (Some of our clients are reporting to this SEPM) also on same version and having a bi directional replication on every night. We have two directory servers integrated with our SEPM, after replication we have seen that there is a miss match on no of clients.
Could anyone suggest what could be the reason?

is it immediately after replication you check the count? well you may not get the actual count to be same, considering you have loadbalance/failover set.
also check if the delete the clients from SEPM console if not connnected is same across the SEPM sites
Cheers!

Hi
What is the replication frequency ?

Hi Sameer,
It is a Daily replication

whats the count difference. You should not expect the number to be same at both sites.

Hi pete,
Here we go...
The difference is approx 40.
Ideally speaking it should have the same data right? Then what preventing SEP to do so?
Regards
Ajin
40.. well .. while replication is done, there would be still clients which might be contacting the other site SEPM or deleted from console if it has not contacted to SEPM for X days..
Cheers!

Hi Pete,
We found some of our servers (which is running 24*7) on one site on another site it is missing..

Ajin
Umm.. that is weird. if it is reporting to the server and after replication that client should be visible on another server as well..
may be you can open a support ticket to check the configuraton.
Cheers!

Hi,
If having SQL database then make sure SQL database maintenance is happening at regular interval.
If possible repair the SQL instance use for SEPM.
If using Embedded database then need to debug with logs.

Hi Chetan,
Thanks for your response.
Yes we are using SQL DB, yes maintenance is happening on a regular interval.
Repairing SEM5 instance option looks little hard

Ajin
please note that the 2 SEPM replication have same configuration.
Cheers!
