Missed Scheduled Scans setting

This issue has been solved. See solution.
As you can see, this is my setup for the Missed Scheduled Scans
My question is, what is the result if I uncheck and don't use it? If a scan is missed, will it start at the normal scheduled time as opposed to re-trying within 4 days? That's my assumption.....

Yes, that's what's going to happen.
This option will be changed to hours according to your selection of the schedule frequency.
If you uncheck the option, SEP will only try to run the scheduled scans on the exact schedule you specify. So you should consider the option according to your schedule. For example, if you are doing scans every day, you probably won't need it. But if you are doing them monthly, you may not want to make computers to wait for another month :)

That's what I was thinking. We do weekly scans, so I think turning it off would be ok.

I agree.
Another annoying thing about this option is that when a scheduled scan is selected and this option is enabled; when you export a setup package using that AV policy and install that package on a computer, SEP agent behaves like the scan is missed and starts scanning the computer as soon as it is installed. Resulting in slowing down the machine, preventing Liveupdate to finish etc, such a pain ...
Just to let you know :D

hi
if you set a scan at 4pm friday
and machine is turned off
the next scan will start when computer starts ( wait maximum of 4 days ; before you skip the scan)
meaning it wil wait 4 days to start your schedule scan

you may test it by using the client system shut before scheduled scan and boot the system after the scheduled time has passed.
Cheers!
