Hello, we have recently installed DCM Standard and managed to successfully install the client software to our machines. However when we try to access the resource manager (by right-clicking on the computer name in the Altiris Agent Installation list screen) We are presented with the following error:

The resource cannot be found.
Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.

Requested Url: /Altiris/Resource/ResourceManagerConsole.aspx

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program but the error still appears. Any help would be erm.. helpful! :)

Cheers

path incorrect

The given URL is incorrect.
The correct url should be:
http:\\servername\altiris\Resource\ResourcemanagerConsole.aspx

Thank you for the quick

Thank you for the quick response.

I'm runnning the console directly from the server so the requested ASPX page is (or at least should be) on the local machine.

Even so, how would I go about correcting this?

Cheers

First check, then correct

First check if the path exists.
Type in the url i gave to you, and replace the servername with localhost.
If it exsist, then check the IIS settings to see if the altiris website is set to default.
If all is correct, then you have to change the page were the incorrect URL is given.
i can not tell you what the page is to change the URL.
Maybe someone ells cann give the answer to that.
