  • 1.  Missing Clients in SEP 12.1 Manager

I'm upgrading from SEP 11 to SEP 12.1 on Windows 2008R2 virtual server. The install of SEP Manager went fine. The install of the clients seem to go fine. The clients (under Troubleshooting) are communicating fine with the SEP Mgr. However, only 3 clients (including itself) show in the console, even though I have upgraded 10 clients to v12.1. The clients that are missing from the console have a green dot on the shield, and communicate fine (under Troubleshooting, routinely checking in with SEP Mgr.) What's even more bizarre, the list of clients shown in the SEP Mgr. console is not always showing the same clients (occassionally rotates to different clients) - but it's always showing a max of 3 in the console. It's like the Filter is set to show a maximum of 3 in the console (its not). I've disabled Windows Firewall on SEP Mgr. and clients. Only 1 SEP Mgr. server, and only using default group. I've done complete uninstall/re-install of SEP Mgr. and SEP clients. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks you!

These are cloned machines and are experiencing Hardware ID conflict behavior.

The second document indicates where on the client you can find the file which you can confirm the client indeed do have the same ID.

The other explanation I can think of, you only have 3 licenses in your license file for 12.1?

The first is more likely the cause.
