The job logs  should give you  the names of nteh tapes and the seuqnces of session on the tapes, if you compare with the job logs of teh other servers it might help you work out is something strange happened to the session for SRV4.

It might also help us help you if we knew which Backup Exec version you are using.

Its an oldie.. We are actually pricing the upgrades. 10.0 5520. Its still vertias actually. But Ive been using it for quite a while with no issue til now. We do an anual test and randomly select a dozen files for recovery and never had any issue. Anyway, I have about 200 jobs in the log and I can open each log and it does show that it was written to tape 2 or 5 or 3 etc. etc. But regardless of the tape I put in, the only resources it shows for restore are servers 1, 2, 3, 5. 

Here is some copy from the log for the server in question. This tells me that it wrote to TAPE01 (ENBI01)

OK, I created a test job and backed up 1 file from SRV4 and it was there in the restore option. So I ran the scheduled job and let if run. Now the files show up like I expect. I didnt change the job at all. But thats the backup from right now. So I still want to find my old ones since I need to recover 1 file. But it does appear to be working now, I just cant access the old backups.

One more thing, I just noticed something. 

I have all the jobs on hold except for one. While I was poking around in my test backup, the tape disapeared  because the one server still active kicked on. When I refreshed the window and looked at the tape, my SRV4 was gone again. Now all that showed was my SRV3, which was what kicked off. So its like It only shows the last of what was backing up. 

I think what I will do is run into the office, swap to a diffrent tape, run a single file backup on SRV4 and see if my old job for that tape wont show. Maybe do an append or something. Then if that works i will post, just so ya'll know the answer. Then I will likely push for the upgrade to take place to avoid issue in the future. Weird that I happend to be in it right at that moment in time. Hopefully thats the answer.
