        Hi everyone,

Users start complaining about missing e-mail messages. First of all, i was wondering what they could do wrong, but after analyzing the situation, i realized that some messages were received, are not held into Spam Quarantine, and it's not delivered to user. I checked Message Audit Logs, and it shows that the message should be into Spam Quarantine, but it's not.

       Example:

User is expecting to receive a message from aaa@bbb.com.br .

User checks her Brightmail Profile, and the message from aaa@bbb.com.br is not there.

I look into the corporative Spam Message Quarantine as administrator, but cannot find the message either.

I look into the Message Audit Logs, and THERE IS information about the message.

Seems like the message should be at user's Spam Quarantine, but it's not.

Does it happens to someone else ? Can somebody help ?

       Thanks,

    Hi Carlos,

I have spoken with support about this and they have advised me that they are number of things that could be happening here. Really we would need more details of the type of product and many other things. Maillog in info level while testing may be useful as well. It could be a configuration issue. Although the messages went sent to quarantine that does not mean they were actually delivered to quarantine.

I would suggest that the best course of action would be to open a support case to have the issue investigated fully.

    Best regards,

    Amanda

    Hi Carlos,

There is 1 more reason that Quarantine doesnt show messages in Quarantine database. i.e. if message size is greater than 1Mb. By default our SMS Appliance store mails in quarantine upto 1MB. kindly check if the mesage is having attachment if yes then we need to increase the Quarantine size.

Go to Administration-->Alerts-->Press Shift A-->Maximum message size allowed for spam (megabytes)...here increase the size from 1 to 5MB.

    Regards,
