    This is probably going to be simple to answer, I am testing the Mobile Management Suite. When I download the agent to the device it will not start until I turn on my wifi. Is there a way to install the agent over a 3G network?

    This should work fine over 3G if the MMS SS is externally-accessible.  Given an MMS SS that has an external IP address and DNS entry, with an SSL certificate signed by an external authority (e.g. VeriSign, GoDaddy), with the appropriate ports open (443), it will work.

    If it does not work on 3G but works on WiFi, you likely have something that's only accessible internally -- e.g. internal IP address, failure to have valid DNS entry externally, a self-signed SSL cert, blocked ports, etc.

    The page is accessible view the 3g network, however the agent will not start unless connected to wifi, it gives a error " wifi not turned on. Do I have to turn on or modifiy any files?

    I wonder:
    Does it make any difference if WiFi is really switched off on the iOS device comparing to the status where WiFi is switched on but not connected?

    Do you get any additional detail (error description) when you plug your iOS device to a computer and view the logs in real-time?
