  • 1.  Monitoring for internet connectivity

    Hey all,

    My apologies if this has been addressed before, but I couldn't find anything related.

    What I want to do is basically the opposite of the HTTP uptime and availablility monitors we currently have in place.  We are experiencing outages, but it doesn't appear to be an internal issue.  Is there a way to set up a monitor that will ping an external site?

    Hi Dan,

    Check out the thread below.  This is on the roadmap but possible via the workaround described below.

    Thanks Br,

    I will give that a shot but in the meantime, any idea when this may be available?  Is it going to be a server manangement suite addition?

    Joe,

    could we get at least the following please?

    - HTTP availability of URL

    - Response time (latency) of URL

    - Packet loss to URL

    - Error codes received from URL (401s, 403s etc)
