  • 1.  Monitoring Windows definition displayed on SEPM home page

    Posted Nov 16, 2011 11:21 AM

I'm  interesting to know the windows definitions on the SEPM console home page:

    Latest from symantec

    Latest On Manager

Is this information available in registry

and not just the client virus definitions (HKLM\SOFTWARE\Symantec\SharedDefs\DefWatch\VirusDefs) ,

Because I want first to monitor this information . I found a very good nagios pluggin, but it displays the Virus definition of the client installed on the server. The server can be the client of another SEPM, up to date, and my local server out of date, and I will not know this with this information.

That information is stored in the database under database field name "PATTERNDATE".

I will let the check of content directly in the registry, and not on databse. it's easier to read registry that to test if it's embeded databse or sqlserver, and to read PATTERDATE.

    Thank you Thomas.
