    Hi,

    I have Symantec Endpoint Protection version 12.1.4013.4013.   We have it setup for a full scan on the 15th of every month.   I have 1 user whose scan starts at 12:00pm on the 15th of every month, once the scan is finished, it immediately (1 second later) will start a 2nd scan.   It wouldnt be a problem, but it slows down his pc to the point where he cant do anything because it is so slow.    Each scan takes about 30 hours to complete because he has almost 7 million files that need to be scanned.   I have used CleanWipe to uninstall the Symantec Endpoint Protection and reinstalled it, but the same issue keeps hapening.   Any thoughts or help is greatly appreciated.

    Seems there is a "stuck" scan, I believe Symantec has a scan removal tool. Was this upgraded at any point from a previous version?

    Call Support, get the tool to delete all previous  scans in the registry, i belive its symRmv scan, run it on the system

    Hi guys, thank you for your responses.

    @Brian - This wasnt upgraded from a previous version.  I will definitely get the scan removal tool.

    @Rafeeq - I will definitely try the "SymRmvScan" Utility, thanks for supplying the links.
