  • 1.  MORE SYMANTEC IT FUN - REGISTRY WRITE ERROR AND EMPTY RECENT ACTIVITY WINDOW+EMPTY REPORTS

    Hi.
    version 6.0.4.209 is coming up with registry write errors in the event log like
    Registry Write Failure.
    HRESULT = 0x5.  This error occurred while attempting to write to registry key "InputThreadsInUseDword".

    Also when we ran the trail version there was lots of inof in the "Recent Activity" Window.
    After installing 6.0.4.209 there is nothing. Stuff is being scanned according to the Activity Summary but there doesn't seem to be anything going into the reports.

    any ideas? I don't know this software yet so any newbie clues most welcome.

    I am having exactly the same problem with 6.0.3.201.  Registry write errors:

    6.0.4.209
    same here (Registry write failure), except
     
    Recent activity - nothing , no data
    Sumary activity - nothing , no data
     
    spam  keeps geting thru and nothing is stoped, i've got premium antispam licensed and activated but it doesn't work.

    I have also the same issue :
     
    Registry Write Failure.
    HRESULT = 0x5.  This error occurred while attempting to write to registry key
     "InputThreadsInUseDword".
     
    Auto-Protect is Stopped
    for that reason every activity has been stopped.
     
    plzzzzzzzzz need support for that

    Did anybody ever get a resolution to this?  I was able to stop auto protect, push out the change and then revert it and it seemed to work for about 3 days...Thank you in advance for anything you can offer.

    Is it me or does this board suffer from a lack of expert replies to problems encountered?
    Is no-one from Symantec here?
    Do I really have to ring up support?

    Seems to be so, Symantec has left us on "the dark side of the moon".
    I also got this error this morning for the first time.
    I am currently using the 4.6 version of MailSecurity, next saturday I will install on the server the the new version of the Symantec suite.
    I hope that something will be solved.

    there is no experts to support us , i have license for that application can any one let me tell from where i can get support for mail Security for MS Exchange ver.6.
    and rectify this problem

    "Solution: The events do not have an impact on the program.
