We are using SEE ver 7.0.8 on aproximately 150 HP-2730p tablets. So far three harddrives have failed and I have been trying to mount them via usb adapters such a Wiebetech UltraDock v4 and other devices without any success. I want to be able to decrypt them to pull data off of them. I have full administrative rights and passwords but the harddrives do not even show up in disk manager when connected.Any suggestions? Thanks, Gerry

Are you trying to retrieve the data when you have a login issue or boot issue. If so, then are you trying the Access CD.

You can use the Access Disk to backup the data in no boot situation.

    I have a similar problem.

Mainly the question is how to get to encrypted laptop drive when it is connected by USB adapter to another computer (without Symantec EE)

...As M_Marcos has already mentioned, gaining access to a Full Disk encrypted hdd must be done using the Access/Recovery CDs in the media downloaded from fileconnect.  You have to boot the machine from the CD and use the inbuilt utitilies.

If you're looking to decrypt, then you'll need the Recovery CD.  Note that the below article recommends contacting Symantec support as a first step:
