Can't tell - It all comes down to what file system was defined before installation.  But look in /etc/fstab and compare with the command "dbf" that will return the file system currently mounted.

#more /etc/fstab (shortened for clarity)
# System /etc/fstab file.  Static information about the file systems
# See fstab(4) and sam(1M) for further details on configuring devices.
/dev/vgnbu/lvopenv /usr/openv vxfs rw,suid,largefiles,delaylog,datainlog 0 2
/dev/vgnbu/lvlogs /usr/openv/netbackup/logs vxfs rw,suid,largefiles,delaylog,datainlog 0 2
/dev/vgnbu/lvdb /usr/openv/netbackup/db vxfs rw,suid,largefiles,delaylog,datainlog 0 2
#bdf (shortened for clarity)
/dev/vgnbu/lvopenv 10485760 2736462 7507302   27% /usr/openv
/dev/vgnbu/lvlogs  11517952   15382 11143238    0% /usr/openv/netbackup/logs
/dev/vgnbu/lvdb    501760000 23457688 474792064    5% /usr/openv/netbackup/db
usually the command "bpps -a" will show what processes are running. A semi trained eye will quickly see if something is not behaving as intended. Else see the "processes" tab of the activity monitor.

Assumption is the mother of all mess ups.

The default installation path for NBU on HP-UX is /usr, unless another filesystem was specified during installation.

To verify, cd to /usr and do 'ls -l'. see if openv is a directory or a symbolic link to another filesystem.

Check mounted filesystem with 'bdf' command.
Entire openv folder with all sub-folders must be available, not only goodies.
