    Posted Jun 15, 2010 07:03 AM
    Hallo,
is this possible on SEP 11.0.6005.562?

Is there a how-to in your knowledge base?
I know I have to do a disaster recovery before to save all essentials files (I did a move from embedded to SQL two years ago).

    Thank you.

Below are the steps for the same(Remove SEPM from replication if configured)

    1. Backup the SEPM server certificate
    2. Backup the SQL database (Use Database Back Up and Restore" feature from the Start Menu)
    3. Uninstall the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager along with the Database
    4. Reinstall the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager configured to use a Embedded Database
    5. Restore the SEPM server certificate
    6. Restore the backup copy of the database (Use Database Back Up and Restore" feature from the Start Menu)
    7. Reconfigure the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager database to recognize Embedded Database (Run "Management Server Configuration Wizard" from the Start Menu)
    8. The SEPM service will be restarted at the end of this process, and you may log into the SEPM console.

Disaster recovery article will be helpful for the above steps

No. You can just delete the db from SQL Management Studio if you need it removed.
