  • 1.  Move SEP Clients to Different SEPM Server

    I know this has been debated and documented with many different responses so I am looking for recommendations again to apease myself...thanks in advance!

    I have two completely different mamanged SEPM sites with different groups and policies and want to consolidate 60 or so clients off one and onto the other.  Both sites are running 12.1.5 (RU5) with the the soon to retire SEPM running SQL DB and the other embedded.  Both on different domains.

    Sylink drop appears tedious for 60 clients.

    Adding as a Replication server and changing Priority appears questionable

    I get Communication Update Package Deployment but not how to capture the comm. settings in one server and generate thedeployment in the other.

    Replication would be easiest. What's questionable that you see? Otherwise, yes, replace the sylink.

    So I added my primary SEPM server as a pri2 replication server on the one I want to retire and now the embedded database WILL NOT START!!!  Can't even do a restore............
