  • 1.  Move SEP Server from one Domain to another

    Hi

I tried to find something about this...

We are migrating our complete existing Domain (ADS2003) to a new one (ADS2008).

This is no Domain Update but a new Domain.

The old Domain will be shutdown after the migration.

The IP and the Hostname of the Server will not change.

"Only" the FQDN / Domainname will change.

All Clients and Server will be moved to the new domain

What steps must be taken care off, to make sure that the migration is made without problems?

    1. On the Server

    2. on the Clients.

    Thank you for your help.

If the  The IP and the Hostname of the Server will not change, then there is nothing that you should be worried of....!

Thank You for your fast answers.

    One more question:

The "sem5" database is on another server.

    Could this cause problems?

The server is accessed via the Hostname (not FQDN).

I think it should work without a problem as long as the DNS Resolution works.

    What's your opinion?
