  • 1.  Move SEPM from one folder to another

    Posted Sep 12, 2011 02:13 PM

I installed SEPM on one local drive and need to move it onto another local drive (within the Windows 2003 Server).

Searched Knowledgebase, and found document on how to move SEPM from one computer to another (http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH104389). They suggest using the disaster recovery method, but I'm not sure if this applies to moving SEPM from one local drive to another.

    How to accomplish this?

    Hello,

    Its is simple.

    Here are the Steps:

    1) Work on the Taking a Backup of SEPM and its database.

    http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH102333

    2) Uninstall SEPM

    3) Install SEPM on D drive (or any other drive)

    4) Work on the Restoring the Database and SEPM configuration back with the steps provided in the same document.

    Hope that helps!!!

    Question:

We communicate on only one domain, i.e. Default.

Yet, when I go to C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\data\outbox\agent

    I see numerous alpha-numeric folders.

What is this? Is this reminants of something else? Should I delete these?
