I have symantec system center 10.1.5 on a client, and I have the software for symantec endpoint protection 11.0. I would like to put the new control on a server, my question is should I install the new software on the client and then try to move the data and control panel to the server or install the 11.0 on the server and then try to migrate the data.

On the server you have SSC, you can first install Symantec endpoint protection manager console..these two can co exist.

then create package and push to your sav 10 clients, once 11 is installed , your cleints will now report to symantec protection manager,

once all the migration is done, uninstall ssc, uninstall sav and install sep on the same server...
