  • 1.  Moving clients from old 11.x server to new 12.x server

I have recently added a new server to my domain that is running SEPM 12.1.2015 and Windows Server 2008.  The old server is running Windows Server 2003 and SEPM 11.X.  I want to be able to move all of the clients from the old server and have them connect to the new server with a minimum amount of downtime or user interruption.  Can anyone recommend a good way to accomplish this task?

You can use the 12.1 SEPM to deploy a new sylink to your 11.x clients to get them to connect.

Is there anything that needs to be accomplished on the old server?  Also, can you point me to a document that explains the steps/prerequisites?

Thanks for your help, I'm able to connect to clients after re-establishing connection.
