    Hi chaps,

    I have endpoint running on an old SBS box and it's taking up 3GB of space on the C drive. I need to either move the endpoint files to the D drive or clear some of the files. Most of the space is taken in the CONTENT and CLIENTPACKAGES folders.

    Am I able to thin these out ? If not, what's the best (right) way of moving them to the D drive?

    Olly

    To control the number of packages stored in those directories: http://service1.symantec.com/support/ent-security.nsf/854fa02b4f5013678825731a007d06af/10a0c9e2f3e845ef882574cf00800eb8?OpenDocument

    Here is a support KB that describes how to move them to different drives: http://service1.symantec.com/support/ent-security.nsf/854fa02b4f5013678825731a007d06af/26a14ce13b87f4ca802573db00507176?OpenDocument

    Unfortunately, it requires a new drive or partition. Hopefully that will work for you.

    11.0.1000.1375 here according to the About option in the manager console.

    Thanks for the links, but they didnt help :( The first links takes me to a page that tells me to go here;

    Admin -> Servers -> Edit Site Properties -> LiveUpdate (tab) -> Disk Space Management for Downloads...

    only, I dont have a disk space management for downloads option :(

    I strongly suggest you upgrade to at least MR4.  This will allow you to configure storage space on the server (it will give you option you don't see), however if its only using 3GB now, I don't think you will save that much space.

    Your only other option (apart from this KB already posted - http://service1.symantec.com/support/ent-security.nsf/854fa02b4f5013678825731a007d06af/26a14ce13b87f4ca802573db00507176?OpenDocument)

    would be to backup the server and database and reinstall to another drive on the server, using this KB http://service1.symantec.com/support/ent-security.nsf/854fa02b4f5013678825731a007d06af/a0edb796f583c886882574aa004c1f60?OpenDocument

    hi

    i had allocated 10GB space to my SEP and needed to give it c drive more space because i was also running on low disk space. Reallocating the sep db seems easy but the content folder doesnt.So i ended up taking an image using winpe and imagex  , created a blank VM with 30 GB hard disk space  , applied the captured image . All my folder structure etc were retained , took about 45 minutes.
    It seemed messy moving files around ...
