Hello all,

I was under the impression MR3 would be released at the end of August.

Clearly that release schedule has been pushed back!

Anyone know when the planned release date or month is for MR3?

Also to my knowledge, MR3 was to include support for Server 2008 x64. Was this included in MP2 or do I have to wait until MR3 release?

Thanks,

Nick

MR3 is "tentatively" scheduled for a September release I believe at this point. Of course no hard release date has been set as far as I'm aware.

You can install the SEP MR2 or newer client software onto a Windows 2008 machine, just not the SEP Management Console.

Thanks for the response!

I guess I should have been more clear.

I was refering the SEP management console compatibility with Windows Server 2008 x64.

The compatibility for installation of the console for Windows Server 2008 x64 is still schedule to be released with MR3?

Thanks again!

Unfortunately no, support between the SEP Management Console and Windows Server 2008 will not be present in MR3.

As per Paul's comment in this thread: https://forums.symantec.com/syment/board/message?board.id=endpoint_protection11&thread.id=11748

We are aiming for support tentatively by Mid-November.

Hope that helps!

Where can I find out what changes are in 11.0.2020?  I know that normally they post a link to changes.  Am I just missing it?
