This issue has been solved. See solution.

I just completed a manual, unmanaged installation of MR4MP2 (Build 4202) on Windows 2000 Server.  I chose a custom configuration, and made sure NTP was selected, but alas, after a successful installation of SEP, NTP doesn't show up in the console as an installed feature.  Is there anything in the install log I can check for to figure out the cause of this failure?  I've uninstalled and reinstalled SEP twice and had the same result each time.

On a serious note, Do not install NTP on Server OS, unless the server is playing a role of a workstation.

About NTP...

NTP does not show up on the Endpoint Protection client as soon as the installation is complete. It requires a reboot after the installation.

Check this document for more info....
