  • 1.  MS SQL for SEP

Hi, I just want to know if we should expect any problems when applying service packs to MS SQL. We're using that for our SEP database and we'll be applying SP3 for MS SQL 2005. Thanks.
We'll backup our database just in case.

I haven't received any complain in this regard, and I haven't come accross any official report.

    Unofficially, I say don't wory!

It won't affect SEP until and unless you play wrong with SQL patching.

Hi mon, based from SEP requirements base is just MS SQL 2005 (base), i think SP3 will not affect it. You want also to consider stopping SEP services when you update the SP (just an idea =))

No known issues that we are aware of at this point in time, and we have plenty of customers running it.

Thanks for the reassuring answers. I'll have them stop the SEP service and the SQL as well - whatever MS website dictates us to do to make the implemenation work.
