Anyone else see issues on clients where these patches suddenly think they need to be reinstalled and fail (after previously successfully being rolled out months/years ago)?

I pushed some of the March patches to test machines today and noticed these 4 bulletins were also being pushed again and failing.

Haven't had time to troubleshoot yet.  Next week will do full import and see if redownloading these patches helps.

Just wondering if anyone else has ran into this yet.

Yes, seeing the same here. Also affecting MS15-010.  I've disabled these bulletins to stop the repeated failed installation attempts until this is resolved.

Yes we have also noticed this with MS14-068 and MS14-A11. I have not checked the rest you listed but have our customer asking why these have such a high count of not installed.

I ran full updates all weekend (turned off incremental update).  It looks like PMImport version changed to 7.1.646 last night, and so far, I'm not seeing this anymore.  Briefly they showed up on the client, but instead of failed they showed as 'installed by user' and at next update interval on the client, they disappeared.

I'll report back if I see any other strangeness.  Gotta love if Symantec's patch team fixed it before I could even get a ticket in.

Sally, the same bulletins were failing for me so I disabled 'incremental import' as you suggested.  Then  I noticed that my "Import Patch Data for Windows" task has failed for the last three days.  Manually running the task also fails.  Could you verify that yours ran successfully?

    Mine ran successfully.

Thank you.  A recent change to the Application Credential setting caused my import failure.  Once import was complete, all four updates changed on the client to 'installed by user' before removing themselves.  Thanks for your post.  -JP

Good news.  Don't forget to switch back to incremental if that's what you want usually set.

Running a full patch management import resolved this issue for us as well. Good catch!
