  • 1.  MS12-035 Rules Issue KB2604115-x64.msu

    Posted May 21, 2012 03:26 PM

One of my 2008R2SP1 lab servers is still showing vulnerable to MS12-035. It initially installed KB2604115-x64.msu with an error code of 3010. Since reboot, it has repeatedly attempted to install the same update with a return code of 235904115, which I believe indicates the update is already installed. Microsoft Update offers no updates. Is anyone else seeing this?

    I am on Patch 7.1, pre SP1.

Assuming you don't see that on your other servers, it could be more of a machine's Agent issue. Did you try stopping and starting the  the Agent service and do a recreate full inventory?

    Hello datadrudge,

KB2604115-x64.msu was not detected as 'installed' on 2008R2 SP1 setups where Dot-Net 3.5 sp1 role had been disabled .
This issue should be fixed with latest PM Import. Please run Microsoft PM import, then KB2604115-x64.msu will be indicated as 'already installed' in Compliance report.

    Thank you,
    Roman
