MS12-065 MIA

Not like I have to patch Microsoft Works but noticed that MS12-065 is strangely missing in my Patch Management Solution 7.1 SP2's "Software Bulletin Details" report.  However, it is among October's updates being reported on my Altiris 6 server.  Nothing like older tech working better than the new (hehe).

Can you please direct me to

Can you please direct me to where this "Exclusions list" is in the SMC?  Also, MS12-065 isn't in my Superseded report and didn't think it would be since this update was released just this month.  It's as though this bulletin isn't even being pulled in via pmimport like the rest of the October 2012 releases on my SMP 7.1 SP2 server.

Manage > Jobs and Tasks >

Manage > Jobs and Tasks > System Jobs and Tasks > Software > Patch Management > Import Patch Data for Windows. Look in Vendors and Software and expand Microsoft.

And I've just seen Works isn't listed, only Works 6-9 converter.

Thanks for directing me to

Thanks for directing me to the Vendors and Software list!  I didn't even think of looking here although since I hadn't unchecked anything, no exclusions are applying.  Also, I concur that MS Works is missing from my list as well.  Hopefully someone with Symantec sees this thread and informs the appropriate group to fix it.

MS12-065 is missing for us as well. We are set to download all of the Microsoft updates, no exclusions. I also ran an additional PMImport and it is still MIA.

It's nice when others see the same problem I point out because it means I'm not going crazy...yet (hehe).  Well, at the very least this isn't a unique issue on my server so that's good.  Thanks for the confirmation, Greg!

MS12-065 is strictly related

MS12-065 is strictly related to Microsoft Works.  Microsoft Works is not one of the applications that is supported by Patch Management Solution 7.1 SP1+, as it is typically not an application that is used in business environments.

Patch Management Solution 7.1 SP1+ uses a different data source than previous versions of Patch Management Solution.  There are currently no plans to add support for Microsoft Works to Patch Management Solution 7.1 SP1+.

I agree that Works isn't

I agree that Works isn't prevalent in business environments although just thought it odd that Symantec would exclude this bulletin from my "newer" SMP 7.1 SP2 server but include it on my "older" Altiris 6 server.
