Yes, this allows you to pre-cache. For example, if you create a Managed Software Delivery policy with a Compliance check daily at 2:00 p.m. and Remediation daily at 11 p.m., and you assign the policy at 8:00 a.m., and the client gets the new policy data at 9:34 a.m., it will wait around until 2:00 p.m. comes along. At 2:00 p.m., it will perform a compliance check using the Detection Rule you created for the Software Resource(s) associated with the Managed Software Delivery policy. At that time, if the software is not found, it will download the software resource. Then it will wait around until 11 p.m. to remediate, at which point it will immediately run the remediation command line against the cached software resource.
