Windows Installer Error

Windows Installer Error 1904
Module [2] failed to register. HRESULT [3].

This error may occur during installation if another program, including memory-resident and anti-virus programs, are running and using any version of the file being updated by the setup.

This error may also occur if the folder where the file is located includes a single quote or apostrophe ('). If this is the case, choose a folder that does not include the single quote to resolve the error.

In most situations, you can safely click Ignore.

Turn off self registration on this component

Looks like you have the self registration flag ticked for this component. Since the file looks to be compressed, it won't be able to register anyway, regardless of whether it is normally capable of self registration or not.

Are you repacking the Oracle client?  Frankly not recommended if you are....

Apart from any other consideration...

...COMCAT.DLL is a core system file and has no place in ANY package.

As Ed suggests, turn off the self-registration option in Wise before doing ANY MORE packages: self-registration is the Work of Satan.

Ed, ADI isn't the client and captures easily. Ish.

Don't know why 'x' happened? Want to know why 'y' happened? Use ProcMon and it will tell you.
