  • 1.  MSSQL 2005 component required for Notification Server 7.0

    Hi all,

    I have been searching hi and low but could not find any answers. Could someone point out to me what are the minimum components of the MSSQL 2005 server (Database engine, reporting, analysis?) i should install to get NS 7.0 working. The auditors in our company do not want us to install any un-necessary components into the servers.

    At the moment, the instructions received is to install and use the client management suite & deployment solution.

    Hi Jeffrey,

    At the very least you will need “SQL Server Database Services” and “Management Tools”. You will need to select “Integration Services”, if you want to create SQL Server Maintenance Plans.
