Multicast Builds - How do I change Ghostcast Timeout period?

Created: 23 Nov 2011 | 2 comments

Hi,

I have setup a multicast job in the Ghost Console and most of the pcs appear in the ghostcast server.

The problem is that it takes about 30mins to 'timeout a pc which does not appear' before starting to image the remaining pcs.

Is there a way I can get the ghostcast to start sooner?

TIA

There is a global setting for this; under the Tools menu, choose Options... and on the first page is a "Server Timeout" option which specifies how many minutes the server is prepared to wait for clients during task execution, which should be 20 minutes by default.

Hi Bloke,

The server timeout option would timeout the server's connection to the clients in a particular amount of time.

While executing a task if the server timeout is set for 10 mins the session would try to connect in 10 minutes and if exceeds ten minutes it would time out.

If you want to do the same then choose Tools menu-->options-->server timeout
