I was wondering if endpoint client is written to make use of multiple core cpus in a workstation. If so, which versions of clients?

Yes, SEP 11 has always supported multi CPU.

There were some issues in older releases, RU5 I believe.  It is best practice to upgrade to the latest version, but the current version you are running, which is quite outdated and no longer suppoted, does support Multi-CPU.
