Multiple GUP / None in Subnet
This issue has been solved. See solution.
What is the default action if there is a LU policy that defines multiple GUP but there isn't one defined for the client's specific subnet and there is no default GUP defined? Will the client default to the SEPM?
No. The client will not
No. The client will not contact the SEPM unless it is specified in the policy. If there are no GUPs in the local subnet and SEPM is not to be contacted, then you can consider enabeling the option to take the definitions from internet.

But...
If the GUP AND the SEPM option are checked, it will first check for a GUP in the same subnet and if none match it will go to the SEPM since that option is checked and is considered secondary - correct?
Additionally, If I place all my desktops (regardless of geographic location) and create a single Internal LU policy, do I need only one "Rule Set" that lists all the possible GUPs by Host name? Will that work?
If the clients are unable to
If the clients are unable to contact any of the GUPs they will contact the SEPM.
If you create a single policy and mention the IP addresses of all the GUPs in your network in that policy, that should work as well.

Does it have to be IP
Does it have to be IP address or will SEP automatically use the IP associated with the hostname?
You have saperate options to
You have saperate options to provide IP addresses or hostnames. You can also use wildcards in hostnames [ example: comp* ] , so any machine whose computer name begins with comp, will be a gup.

I am testing that theory at
I am testing that theory at the moment as well:
A single LU policy with clients in computer mode in.
Multple GUP options selected
Rule listing hostname of GUPS.
Now, default behaviour is client ONLY looks on local subnet for a GUP (unless you specify and tcik the box that allows to search for other GUPS). In theory I think it should work, but we nee to test oursevles.
As so new still, there won't be many who know the real-life behaviour of some of the multple GUP features - only theroy, as I have found out!!
I am trying tofind a entwork tool or logs that prove the GUP is doing what its meant to and clients are not getting from SEPM, but finding a decent toolis proving hard! Anyone?
