  • 1.  Multiple Patch Policies for the Same Computer

    Is it OK to have multiple patch policies applied to the same computer? For instance, we would like to set a patch window for Thursday and Fridays to start at 6pm til 6am but then for the weekends patch anytime over a 24 hour period.

    Yes, it's OK. You will just need to correctly configure "maintenance windows".

    If you configure multiple policies with different installation schedules, you will get unpredictable results.  Meaning, it will follow one of the install schedules but it's anyone's guess as to which one.

    To accomplish this, use 1 Patch agent policy and configure multiple schedules.  You will notice under the Installation Schedules tab that there is an 'Add schedule' option.
