I created new policy that contain few Microsoft OS Security Bulletin packages.

I enabled the multicast option and allow server to restart if required. The QChain also has been setup.

However, during the execution, the servers are rebooted for every patch installed (that required restart). What I want is to install all the patches and restart them at 1 go. How to troubleshoot this?

do I understand correctly that you use Patch 7.1 SP1 and you have "Allow immediate restart if required" option enabled in your Software Update Policies? This option allows Software Update plug-in to restart machine after each update that required reboot (major use for this option is Service Packs installation that may have conflicts with individual updates if installed within the same installation cycle).

To ensure just one restart you need to disable "Allow immediate restart if required" option and select "Allow restart after installation: At the end of software update cycle" in [Default] Software Update Plug-in Policy.

I see, so it's different settings, let me try it out. It should work though.
