I dont know exactly what my computer catched but Norton anti-virus keeps detecting the same 3 very frequently. Its detecing and quarantining:
    Trojan Horse
    Trojan Vundo
    Trojan Fakeavalert

Ive been constantly running my anti-virus trying to get it to remove these virus's but its not helping. The very first time i ran the anti-virus it picked up and deleted 2 downloader's. I dont know if thats any help but i need somebody to please help me! What patches do i need to DL? Is there a certain program i can run to get rid of these virus's? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

If theres any more info needed just let me know and ill post it ASAP!

But you are in need.  We have not had good luck with SEP dealing with trojans (I don't know how well Norton does).  We use Simply Super Software Trojan Remover (http://www.simplysup.com/tremover/download.html).  Download it, install it, update it, reboot into Safe Mode, run it.  Works great for us.

My sincere apologies to Symantec for posting this...just trying to help someone.

These kind of outbreaks cannot be resolved in forums as it will nned submission and load point analysis. So i would request you to call support it will not take more than an hour to get out of this mess.

Its kinda standard. Remove machines off network, scan in safe mode, use removal tools and patch all OS and Apps to the latest level. If SEP still doenst detect it, you might wanna submit samples to Support so that they can create rapidrelease defs

search thoroughly the machine for any unwanted exe's still running or not, and also disable system restore and run a full scan in safe mode after updating your windows and A/V software, if this still doesnt work then you should immediately call support, they will resolve the issue surely ASAP.

Please let me know what version of Norton you are using?

Please update the operating system patch from Microsoft reguarly. Only antivirus cannot give you 100% protection.

For vundo please download the removal tool from:

    http://www.softpedia.com/get/Antivirus/Trojan-Vundo-free-Removal-Tool.shtml

    For Fakeavalert removal go to:

you should update your protection manager through rapid release ".jdb" file & run a full scan of your pc. I think this will solve your problem.

I agree with Samiron7567. Yes, you can try with rapid release update by downloading manually from the Symantec web site and then run full scan from Safe Mode as well as Normal Mode by disconnecting the computer form the network.
