    Hello,

Does anyone know why my Client Management System Log would have the following message?

    "Un-registered to NAP Agent"

    and

    "Registered to NAP Agent"

We have NAC installed, but I thought NAP was Microsofts "Network Access Protection" so I'm confused as to why it would show up in my SEP logs.

    Thanks for any suggestions,

    -Mike

    P.S. We are running SEP MR4 MP2

Not sure other than SNAC can integrate with NAP........... the two can be setup to work together is my understanding. Maybe it attempts to connect?

After a bit more research I did find what you had suggested...that indeed NAC and NAP are somehow joined. Seems that NAC is dsigned to interoperate with NAP to allow NAC better "capabilities in a multivendor environment".

If anyone from Symantec can confirm this, I'll sleep better. :-)

    Thanks again for the reply.

Hi Guys, maybe this KB is the answer you seek:
Does Symantec have a product that works with Microsoft's Network Access Protection?

Yes, the Symantec Network Access Control Integrated Enforcer for Microsoft Network Access Protection. This functionality is included in the Symantec Network Access Control 11 (SNAC11) product.
