How are you determining that the job is still running, can you show us with a screen dump?

I said that because the job State was running (green man).

But now I stopped the job. It pass 17 hours, the last log was

1/5/2013 9:17:35 PM - Info bptm(pid=19726562) completed reading backup image
1/5/2013 9:17:35 PM - Info bptm(pid=19726562) EXITING with status 0 <----------

And the never never stop or failed.

Do you have DAR enabled?

if not it could take more time to start writing the data..

in job bptm and ndmpagent are existited so there will not be any activity furhter..

do you find any thing more info in the resore log /usr/openv/netbackup/logs/user_ops/<userid>logs/  ?

Please provide more about your configuration like below. I'm wondering why there are no ndmpagent log in Detailed Status.

  • Policy Configuration(bppllist <policy_name> -L)
  • Version of OS/NetBackup/NAS-OS involved in this issue
  • Policy type and backup type specified while restore operation

Seems bptm has finished reading (status code 0) but NDMP on the NAS never notified bpbrm that restore was completed.

Please tell us more about restore job:
Firstly, type of filer.
Restore destination - same or different path?
If different - have you verified that the alternate path is supported? Certain NAS filers have limitations as to what kind of redirected restore is allowed.

Please post logs as File attachments:
Master server: bprd
Media server: bptm, bpbrm and NDMP log (NDMP is unified log - OID 134)
