This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hello,

I have a problem to perform a full backup of my master and media server since i have upgrade netbackup to 7.5.0.4.

The server is running Windows 2008 R2 and the following error occured during backup :
8/01/2013 15:24:52 - Error bpbrm(pid=3692) from client apdk9g: ERR - Volume resolution error for (System State:\Automated System Recovery\BCD\BCD)
18/01/2013 15:24:52 - Info bpbrm(pid=5196) child done, status 156
18/01/2013 15:24:52 - Info bpbrm(pid=5196) sending message to media manager: STOP BACKUP apdk9g_1358519073
18/01/2013 15:24:57 - Info bpbrm(pid=5196) media manager for backup id apdk9g_1358519073 exited with status 150: termination requested by administrator

I had the same problem while upgrading to netbackup 7.1.0.4 and solved it with this command :
<install_path>\Veritas\netbackup\bin>w2koption -backup -efi_boot_enabled 1

But now the parameter -efi_boot_enabled is unavailable for command w2koption.
I have create another job for this machine with bmr disable but i've got the same error.
VSS writers are stable.

Thank you.

Please log a support call ASAP.

Seems some problems fixed in 7.1 patches have returned in 7.5, like this one: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH128805
!!! WARNING !!!: This issue returned in 7.5 GA - see artice TECH199089 (linked below) for details.

Note that there is a hotfix attached to TECH199089 - download and apply this hotfix to resolve your issue.

This issue will be resolved (again!) in 7.5.0.5.

Hotfix attached to TECH199089 already apply but not resolve the issue.

The server is not a member of a cluster.

I hope update 7.5.0.5 will be available quickly.

Sorry, I didn't read the thread carefully enough.  TECH199089 doesn't apply to your issue at all.
