Hi All,

I'm running Netbackup 6.0 MP 2 on the master, all media servers and clients. When I go to the master server host properties - clients, under Version only the master server is listed as 6.0MP2. All the others are listed as 6.0. I have verified individually on all the servers that indeed am running MP2.

It really doesn't bother me now, but in future I would like the stuff to show the correct version so I can know what servers are on which patch level. Any tricks??

Gerald,

I would say the the /veritas/openv/netbackup/bin/version file was not updated on the clients, strange that the patch did not change it, are you clients NT or UNIX?

JD

/veritas/openv/netbackup/bin/version
/veritas/openv/netbackup/client/HP9000-800/HP-UX11.00/version
/veritas/openv/netbackup/client/HP9000-800/HP-UX11.11/version
/veritas/openv/netbackup/client/INTEL/FreeBSD4.5/version
/veritas/openv/netbackup/version

Unfortunatly, this is a 'feature'. I have asked Symantec support about this in the past and this is by design.

I basically wrote a script that goes out and looks at each client's version.txt file (c:\program files\veritas\netbackup\version.txt) and extracts the actual version.
