nbdeployutil report

Created: 25 Sep 2013 | 4 comments

Hi all,

I generated the licensing capacity report using the nbdeployutil command and everything looks fine.

Now I want to execute it with other options to avoid overlap.

I do not remember the right option to avoid as much as possible the overlap between policies to have a much more accurate number of TB.

But there is a way to do it.

Does anyone know how to avoid the overlap?

Possible Overlap - Client appears in other policies

A client that is being protected by multiple backup policies has the potential to have the same data backed up more than once.

You could try running the following and look for MULTIPLE, while you're at it you could look for UNCOVERED as well.

for i in $(bpplclients -allunique -noheader | awk '{ print $NF }'); do bpcoverage -c $i; done

Try running it with the --traditional switch as that sometimes helps

Also look at the breakdown tab as it does show which clients have possible overlap - you can check those out and delete those that are confirmed by yourself as overlap and it will recalculate the overlap for you

The --help switch gives all available options
