NBU app agent and enterprise client license

Need someone help clarify on following.

1. do i also need enterprise client if app agent is being used and data to be backed up through agent only?

2. if data to be backed up through agent also filesystem need to be backed up, do i need agent liense and app agent license?

enterpirese client license is used to backup of the VMware clients in VADP method.

for file systems backup you just need base netbackup license...

and what is the application that you are referring to ...?

You need Standard Client for each client to be backed up.
if you want to use database agent, you need Application and Database license as well.  

Application and Database license does not include base Standard Client License.

Enterprise Client is only necessary if you want to configure database client as a SAN Media Server (install Media Server software so that client can backup directly to disk or tape).
